This guide outlines the proper steps to uninstall a customer gateway from the OpsRamp SaaS platform.

Overview

Uninstalling the OpsRamp gateway involves deregistering the customer gateway from the OpsRamp SaaS platform. Once the gateway is uninstalled:

  • All associated operations will stop, including:
    • Resource discovery
    • Monitoring activities
    • Alerting functions
  • Kubernetes resources deployed by the gateway will be removed, including:
    • Pods
    • Deployments
    • Jobs
    • ConfigMaps
    • Secrets
    • Other related components

If you’re using a multi-tenant architecture with multiple gateways installed in separate namespaces, uninstalling one gateway will not affect the resources in other namespaces.

Pre-Requisites

Before starting the uninstallation, ensure the following:

  • You have cluster access with sufficient permissions to uninstall Helm charts or run OpsRamp Bootstrap Tool commands.
  • Identify the namespace where the gateway was originally installed.
  • Backup any custom configurations if needed (though not required for most cases).
  • Validate whether the gateway is currently connected to the OpsRamp platform.
